I did get to visit Brockett Hall. I met the last Lord Brockett in San Diego, and he promised us a tour of the Hall if we came to England. We were on the plane the following spring. We got our visit in between two other groups who were going and coming. I am now very glad I saw it before evrything got sold off. It was really spectacular. Two Prime Ministers of England died there - one on the golf course and one in the billiard room. Margaret Thatcher was supersticious and wouldn't visit the place, I am told. Part of it was used during WWII for a hospital.
