Hello all ,
I duno why But something inside
me nags at me to do my family tree.
Especially on my Father's side The Brocketts.
As he grew up in an orphanage And knew or knows very little of his Family.
The eldest his brother Earl has sinced deceased And they all are aging.
So I guess I figure now is the time if ever
I am to unravel the mystery of our family's
history.
My father is Charles F Brockett Sr.
he is son to A charles J Brockett
And His mother was Edith Unsure of her
maiden name
He was Born in Free port Il.
And was raised in the Soldiers orphanage in
Davenport Ia.(known in QC area as Anne whittemmeyer Home)
would appreciate any and all help from all
Am unclear as to where the Brockett name
originates if its Is England,Scottish,or
French.
Also there may have been an e at the end
of our name that was either dropped or
was never meant to be there...But was a
typo
But we have all ways been Brockett to my knowledge could we have originally been
Brockette?
