Barbara, the pedigree shown on Mr Madsen's site is incorrect. John Brockett of New Haven was not descended
from John of Caswell, or from the line of Sir John Brockett at all, for that matter. In 1638, according to
a Chancery Bill, the son of John of Caswell was in England. He had managed to cheat his father
out of the Caswell property. In the 1640s he was still there. He could not possibly have been
with the group on the Hector. The pedigree of that man, the one who came to America, is
not yet proved.
