I have a Michael BROCHU b. Feb 1832, who married Genvieve. He died in 1919 in Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan. Genvieve died in 1912. They were both born in Quebec.
Their son, Telesphore Michael was born March 1861 in St. Gilles, (Lotbinière County?), Quebec. He was living in Grand Rapids in 1881 and he married Lydia BOUCHARD in Muskegon, MI in 1884.
In 1900 his parents were living with him in Grand Rapids. His children in 1900 were: Lillian, George, Joseph Arthur, Edmond, Leona, Alma, and Vincent. Lydia died in 1916 and between 1927 and 1938 he married her cousin, Cecelia (FLEMING) BULKLEY.
There is also a Seraphine BROCHU living in Muskegon in 1889 and 1891. In 1883 there was a Napoleon and a Paul.
Is anybody else working on this branch, or does anybody have information on BROCHUs from St. Gilles or Lotbinière County?
