Hello Diana, I am a ninth great grandson of Jean Brochu who was born in Quebec about 1638. At that time there were only about fifty people in New France, as they called it then. June Brochu has a lot of information about the Brochu line. <jbrochu@island.net> She lives on Vancouver Island in BC with her husband, Lawrence Brochu who is a distant cousin of mine. Kathy Orchard also has a lot of information.<m248n@aol.com>. Kathy lives in St. Paul Minnesota. I live in Ajax Ontario Canada and my e-mail is <emilson@yesic.com>. The person who has most of the information is D. Renaud Brochu. He is not on line but he is the secretary of "Brochu D'Amerique". A genealogy society that has published nine volumes on the name Brochu. That includes fifteen thousand names. He has traced the Brochu lines; and there are about fifty of them; for 1610 in Paris france up to the present day.
