Dorcas Broadwell married Elijah Winchell, probably in Clinton or Franklin Co, NY ca. 1814. They settled in Fort Covington, NY (Franklin Co) and raised their family.
By 1796 there was a prominent Broadwell family in Plattsburgh,NY (Clinton Co.) including Aaron(b. Dec 9,1779) and Noah (b. Jan 1,1774), originally from Morris Co, NJ, both sons of David Broadwell and Sabera Willcox. In the 1800 Census for Clinton Co, there were two Noah Broadwells. Can anyone identify the parentage of Dorcas ?
