Hi Kelly,
I am just starting out, and have decided that it's better to ask than worry about wasting people's time, as taking a stab in the dark is better than nothing. I too am looking for Broadwell's in Georgia and Tennessee. The names I have been given are siblings, not sure of their parents names other than maybe William (but there were a lot of William Broadwells) the siblings are : William, Cyrus, Margaret, Caroline(aka Carrie) and Sara. Another name is Mayme (or spelled Maime) and I'm not clear if Mayme was a nickname for Margaret. I'm sure without a doubt that Mayme and Carrie were sisters. (confusing, I know- sorry!)
I do know for a fact that Carrie recieved her Master's Degree in English @1932 at George Peabody College, taught physical education (basketball) at LaGrange College in GA., and possibly taught at Lander College in Greenwood SC.
I hope this in some way might help you, and in turn I hope you might have some missing pieces for me!
thank you, Sadie
