I have a George C. Broadwell in my family. He was born in Alpena, MI 3/5/1869. He is listed in the Alpena directories 1887-92 as a boomman for the Thunder Bay River Boom Co. I have no further info on where he went. The connection could be that he had cousins that worked on the Great Lakes and my mother says they lived in Duluth. Could George have moved there and established residencY? Could we be connected?
