There is a Thomas Broadwell in the 1860 Census of Ohio, in Cuyahoga Co., Olmsted Township. That is all I know about Thomas.

There is, however, another Broadwell family who moved from Olmsted Falls to Essex, Ontario, Canada. They are George C. Broadwell and Alice R. Henson, married 24 Mar 1858 in Cuyahoga Co. They had children, Frank Albert Broadwell, b. 6 Dec 1858, and Emma Broadwell, b. 1873. It would appear that Thomas is George's father, since George and Joel got married at nearly the same time.
