I am seeking information on my gg grandmother--Frances Broadwell. She was born somewhere in New York on 15 SEP 1839. She married either Henry or Edward Morrison in New York. Their son's obituary lists his father as Henry Morrison while his death certificate lists his father as Edward R. Morrison. The son was Ernest Linnwood Morrison (b. 29 APR 1864, NY; d. 5 MAR 1949, MI). He was a prominent Methodist minister in mid-Michigan (especially the Thumb area) in the first half of the 20th century. His father and mother supposedly came to Michigan apparently shortly after his birth. His father must have died shortly after coming to Michigan, because Frances Broadwell Morrison married Nelson Skinner on 8 APR 1866 in Oregon Twp, Lapeer Co, MI. They had the following children: Anna Mae Skinner Decker McCormick Huntley (1867-1937), Carrie B. Skinner Stapleton (1869-1896), Gilbert N. Skinner (1872-1957), Dora L. Skinner Powell (1876-1940), and Herman Skinner (1879-1967). Frances Broadwell Morrison Skinner died on 10 APR 1894 in Mayfield Twp, Lapeer Co, MI. I have been unable to find out any information on where Frances was born or who her parents were? Can anyone help me?
