I am a descendant of Elizabeth Carr Whitaker Broadnax (or Brodnax). She was the daughter of John Hunt Broadnax and Katherine Baker Whitaker. She married James A. Graham on May 16, 1840 in Chambers County, Alabama. In all the information I've been able to find, it is repeatedly reported that she died in 1843. Actually, she didn't die until 1877. She and James had 7 or 8 children. One daughter, Elizbeth Broadnax (Brodnax) Whitaker Graham, married John Alexander Stewart in 1858, in Lowndes County, Alabama. In the Butler County, Alabama 1880 Census, Eliz. C.(?) Graham is a widow, and 37 years old. Also listed are 7 of her 10 children and her Mother, Elizabeth A.(?) who is 63 years old. I am descended through Eldred McWhorter Stewart.
I'd be more than happy to share what I have. I'd like to know if Mildred Ezell is aware these descendants exist.
