Rebecca was the daughter of William Brodnax & second wife Mary Ward, daughter of Seth Ward (Mary married 2nd Richard Gregory in 1777). William Brodnax died 13 March 1775 in Sussex Co., VA, was son of Edward Brodnax & Elizabeth Hall. Rebecca was born before 1772, since she had a brother Benjamin born 28 Aug. 1772.
