Does anyone have a BROADNAX-PHILLIPS connection? My ggg-gf James B. PHILIPS/PHILLIPS, born in South Carolina about 1805-1806, was living in Warren Co. Georgia in 1860 with his children, ages 24-12. Also in this household was a 10-yr-old John BROADNAX (spelled Boradnax), and I'm wondering if he may have been a relative. Perhaps James's initial B is for BROADNAX? If this rings a bell, please email me at Charlwalkr@aol.com, since I don't get to visit here often. Also, included below are various spellings (and possible spellings) of BROADNAX from the 1840 and 1850 Georgia census indexes that may be of interest to someone on this Forum. All of the counties are more or less in east central Georgia, near or on the South Carolina line, except Muscogee, which is on the opposite side of the state, on the Alabama line. I have not yet extracted the household data from these censuses. In addition, there is a marriage record for James E. Broadnax to Martha Watkins in Muscogee Co, 19 Aug 1847 (Happy 152nd Anniversary). Thanks and happy searching. Charles Walker GA 1840 1840 Newton Co: 1840 Putnam Co: 1840 Richmond Co: 1850 Clarke Co: 1850 Hancock Co: 1850 Muscogee Co: 1850 Richmond Co: 1850 Warren Co:
