James Broadhead's son, Felix married Asena Pearson. His dau, Martha married Wilkin Smith on the same day that Wilkin's sister Catherine married William Richey. The parents of Wilkin and Catherine Smith were William Smith and Sarah Philpot. James' son, Michael K. married Louisa Caroline Philpot, parents unknown. This week I have found that Martha and Wilkin Smith both died about 1853 in Lauderdale Co., MS., leaving orphans. I have also found that Wilkin had a brother named William Pinkney Smith who married Mary Ellen Pearson, the sister of Asena. It seems Felix & Asena, Martha & Wilkin, William & Sarah Philpot Smith, William Pinkney and Mary Ellen were all in MS, having left Bibb Co., Al. and then all but Sarah Smith and the deceased Martha and Wilkin, moved to Choctaw Co., Al for awhile. These families had always appeared close in the census and marriages.
