researching my grandfather

My grandfather, Paul Broadfoot, passed away in July 1996. However, he left papers related to a search for his ancestry.
I am not sure how valid the research is or even who was hired to do it. According to the paperwork he is descended from
four brothers who emigrated from Scotland in the early 1800's. If anyone has any information regarding this, please contact
