On-Line data base for Alexander Bradfute and his Canadian/American descendants

Many current Broadfoot descendants trace their ancestry back to Alexander Bradfute. B 1730 in Sanquhar, Dumfrieshire, Scotland. He married Jacobina Graham. They both died in Glasgow, Scotland. Their daughter, Isabella, and her husband David Laidlaw, immigrated into Ontario, Canada. Their son James died in Scotland, but his wife Sarah McCririk and their five children settled in Seaforth, Huron Co, Ontario. Those five children were John (and his wife Mary Holden), Agnes (and her husband James Martin), Alexander “Sandy” (and his wife Margaret Carnochan), James Jr (and his wife Janet Morrison), and Sarah (and her husband Robert McCartney). Many of their descendants remained in Canada; many others came to the United States.

That family line is now shown in an on-line Rootsweb data base, worldconnect URL below. It would be most helpful if those of you who descend from Alexander Bradfute would take a look at this new data base and send me your corrections, additions, deletions, etc., in order to make this data base even more useful to you and your relatives.

I welcome e-mails, telephone calls, or letters. Send me your descendency charts and I’ll add them to the data base.

I descend from Alexander “Sandy” and his second wife Marion McMillan.

Bill
