I am looking for any information about John Broadfoot born about 1811 Scotland who married Margaret Gould 8 April 1841 Abbey (Paisley) Renfrew Scotland. They had the following children:
Marion b 1841 Paisley
William c 1842
Catherine c 1844 ( my husband's line)
Mary c1851
Andrew Wilson 1852
John and Margaret arrived in South Australia aboard the ship "William Stevenson" in 1855.
There was also an Alexander Broadfoot who married in South Australia in 1847 but I have been unable to tie him into the family as yet.
I have found a William Broadfoot m Agnes Wilson on the IGI and they had a Alexander 1808 and Mary 1810 Sanquhar Dumfries but have been unable to find whether they had a John abt 1811. I think there maybe a connection as John's son Andrew has the middle name of Wilson.
Any information about this family or even the origins of the Broadfoot family would be appreciated.
