Hello Rory,
I am Gayle Bourne (broadfoot) daughter of Glasgow born James broadfoot 1938.
MY grand father was also Jamea Broadfoot he had Three sones Called James (my father) ronald ,robert robert still lives in scotland today ronald moved to canads in 1970 and my father moved to England in 1969.
I would love to know where your from as there are not too many Broadfoots in scotland .
My fathers family worked on the Clyd and were ship Builders they worked for Browns ship yards.
ONe ship that my family was on was the daphne, which rolled and snk on launch they were the last family to recieve a special fund for the death in service.
