Hav you checked the NS Vital Stat site

The death certificate of Elizabeth Britton is there. She died 1930 in Halifax and he husband Charles listed her father as John Fitzgerald and states she was born in Guysborough.. Now there is also a marriage record on the above site for a Charles Britton and Elizabeth Hartlan, widow. It records Elizabeths father as John and states that she was born in Guysboro County. It lists Charles parents as Joseph (shoemaker) and Georgina and says he was born in Sackville, Halifax Co. I donít think there is any reason to doubt that this is your Charles Britton.
