I am trying to find the mother of Matthias C Brittain born 1800 in Nottingham ,Burlington County ,NJ married Susan or Susannah Clayton b 1810 NJ and Mathias Died 25 April 1868 .
According to a letter found in the NARA Revolutionary War Pension records dated September 1850 from the Treasury Dept. it states Mathias C Brittain child of William Britton deceased recieved the amount of 96.00 .
William was married to Sarah Clark Britton at the time of his death in 1828 and had 4 children according to other letters also found in his pension file Mathias was not named . He was the youngest son of William's 1st wife who maybe Mary Walton daughter of Matthew Walton but I can find no way to prove this . If anyone has info on these particular people I would appreaciate the help will share anything I have on this family.
