Pennington Gap, VA - Frank D. Britton, 74, of the Big Hill
Community passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at his
residence.
He was born November 29, 1933 in Harlan County, KY, the
son of the late John and Ludie Daniel Britton. He was
preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Dean Britton, two
brothers, Phillip Britton, and Art Britton, Nephew, James
Jr. Britton.
Survivors include three brotheers, Arnold Britton and wife
Alma of Big Hill, Bob Britton of Rose Hill, VA, Wayne
Britton and wife Mary of Carpentersville, ILL; several
nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, October 18,
2008, at Sturgill Funeral Home with services following
with Rev. Bill Posey and Rev. Jonathan Jones officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October
19, 2008, in the Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA,
with Rev. Fred Dotson officiating. Everyone should meet at
