Joanie,

Have not heard from you for a longe time. Been working on the Brittinghams during the Civil War period.

The individual you identify as William P. Do you know what the "P" stands for? I know it is a wild guess and the dates are too far apart but there are several generations of males in my family that has the name "Parker" as a middle name.

When my branch of the Brittinghams came from the Eastern shore around 1806, brothers John H.P. Brittingham and William Parker Brittingham (my great great grandfather) were already born. I don't know what the H. P. stands for but I suspect that H is for Hill or Hall, and the P stands for Parker.

Bill Brittingham, Jr.
