Rev. George Washington Brittingham was my 2xgr grandfather. He married Abigail Shelton, daughter of Robert A "Buddy Shelton" and Abigail Britton. My gr-grandmother was Margaret Hannah Brittingham, Nancy's sister. Margaret (Margie) married John M. Grierson; she died when their only son, Alexander Brittingham Grierson, was born. Alex married Noami Cochran, and their oldest son was my father, John Harmon Grierson. I have a great deal of information about the Brown County OH Brittinghams, but have not been able to make the connection with the Maryland Brittinghams, except that I know George's father Roland was born in Maryland.
