Thanks for this new avenue of research and sharing. Anything
new to help in the quest is always appreciated. Now down to
business.
I have GG Grandparents by marriage that I'm having a very hard
time finding any concrete documentation on. I have Elijah and
Saleta Brittingham living in Monroe Georgia for 50 years or so
according to the census records, but I have not been able to
uncover a marriage record for them. Without this I do not know
Selita's maiden name nor where she was born, thus no birth record
either. Elijah must have travel down to Georgia from the north.
I would like to find a birth and death record for him. Now there
are a couple of Elijah's listed in the Maryland census but those
are not my Elijah. Mine was born about 1796 I think in Maryland,
died between 1870 and 1880 in Georgia. He married around 1827.
Saleta was born about 1810 maybe in Georgia.
I hope someone might see this and be able to help.
