John and Elvira BRITTENHAM -- Kansas, 1870s
I am trying to find what became of the John and Elvira BRITTENHAM who were living in Edwardsville, Wyandotte County, Kansas in 1875 (state census) and 1880 (federal census) -- I can't find them in 1900 and later. John was born in Illinois c1840-1841; Elvira was born in Virginia c. 1852-1855. Their children were Anna (b. c1870), George (b. c1875) and Minnie G. (b. c1879). I am trying to learn if they are the same people as Jackson BRITTINGHAM and Nancy E. MANN who married in Wyandotte Co., Kansas in 1869. In 1875, John and Elvira were living just a few households away from my ancestor, Monroe B. MANN, who had a sister Nancy E. MANN. Not sure if the surname should be BRITTINGHAM (marriage license) or BRITTENHAM (census). Thank you.
