Teresa, I have Brittain family descendents from Wood Co. I am told my G-father, Harland Dewey Brittain, was born in Golden (near Mineola) in 1905. I found his family listed in the 1910 census in Wood Co.:
Father: (Weaver) Gilette Brittain 28
Mother: Rosa (Rosalie) Brittain 24
Son: Harland Dewey Brittain 5
Daughter: Helen 3
Daughter: Maggie (Margaret) 1
I have no clue who Weaver's parents were. By 1920, this family had moved to Eastland Co.
Any connection?
Bill
