My gg grandmother Elizabeth Brittain or Britton (born 1814 in Eccles, Lancashire) married Joseph Seddon (born 1814 Eccles Lancashire) in Feb 1836 in Manchester, Lancashire. We do know that Elizabeth was illiterate at time of the marriage.
We think that her parents were William and Ellen Brittain.
Elizabeth and Joseph had the following children: Ellen, Elizabeth, Daniel, Frederick, Joseph, William Henry, Ruth and Edward.
Elizabeth died in Lancashire in Feb 4, 1881.
If you have information confirming her parents vital stats, it would be greaatly appreciated.
