After my reply regarding Burrell Brittain, I looked at my database. I have William Henry Brittain as a "possible" son of George Brittain, Jr. (son of George and Elizabeth Brittain of Oglethorpe Co., GA) George, Jr. married Nancy Brewer in 1800 in Oglethorpe Co., GA. Wife Nancy was widowed by 1830 when she appeared on the census. I'm from youngest son, Thomas J. Brittain. He married Susan Oakes and they moved to Claiborne Parish, Louisiana after 1850 from Perry Co., AL. My Thomas J. and Susan Brittain moved to Newton Co.,Texas in time to be on the 1860 census there. By 1870, they were in Nacogdoches Co., TX. I have that William H. died 9 Aug 1871       Wills Point, Van Zandt Co., TX. I think I got that death information from you.
I don't have a William H. as a son of Burwell Brittain (other spellings). I have a William J. who married Laura. Also a Henry who married Nancy Lunsford. (might be spelled slight differently.)

Do you have other information?
