Britts in Lexington, Tennessee

I'm searching for anyone with a connection to a James B. Britt who lived in the Lexington area in the 1920's. His wife Rozie Scott Britt died in 1921 or 22, whereupon he moved to Flint, Michigan with a few of his children. He had a sister named Nancy E.(Ellen?) Britt who also relocated to Flint after marrying a man named Henry Overman.

My husband's father was James' last son, G.W., born in 1921. He was adopted by the Montgomery family and remained in Lexington.

We're hoping to find a link to James' family roots.

Would appreciate any help you can give. Thank you.
