William Bristow - 1747 - Loudoun Co, VA

So I just have an observation that leads to a question. The Bristow's always name there sons after fathers and grandfathers for generations. So, if John Bristow is William's father, why do he and Margaret have no children named John? Why would they name their first son Benjamin? Wouldn't this suggest that either William or Margaret's father or grandfather was a Benjamin, neither I have ever found suggested on any of these postings. Would love to hear your take on this??

Thanks,
Misty Troutt (great, great, great, great grand daughter of William and Margaret)
