I have been looking for parents of John Henry also. I found some interesting information. In Westmoreland, Virginia December 19 1803 Reuben Briscoe married Ann B Johnston, Samuel Johnston, her father, gives consent. The story goes that John Henry was brought to Tennessee by his grandfather Johnson. 1810 Census Westmoreland, Virginia. Reuben 10010-20100-01 Reuben Sr 10001-100100-21. These are the only Reuben's in any of the census's. There are I quite a few Samuel Johnston/Johnson in Virginia and Tennessee and I haven't got the chance to look at the images yet. In 1830 Maury County, Tennessee George Briscoe p37 John Briscoe p60 James W. Briscoe p71 This is all speculation, but it is interesting. Karen Notify Administrator about this message?
