I have a John Branson, born 1716 in St. Mary's County, Md. who married an Elinor Williamson Briscoe. I am seeking confirmation of the relationship between Captain John Briscoe and Elinor Williamson of St. Mary's county and the above Elinor Williamson Briscoe. Three of Captain John Briscoe's children had daughters who were named Elinor. Due to the location, timing and name similarity, it appears that Elinor Williamson Briscoe is related in some way.
