G-Grandfather John "Jack" D. Briscoe may have been born approx 1840 in North Carolina (?); he died about 1931 in Somerville, Alabama. Middle initial "D" may be Dennis. He had a brother who went to Missouri (?) and produced a son, Dolph. "Jack" married ? McCartney. "Jack's" father may have been a homesteader in a place called Fort Bluff, northern Alabama, in the Allegheny foothills. "Jack" had 4 sons (Thomas Graham, Will, Jim, Luther, Elbert) and 3 daughters (Minnie, Ella, Marion); Elbert and Ella were twins. Minnie maried Luther Cooper. Will married Maud Epperson. Thomas married Minnie Elzada Epperson, Maud's sister. Looking for more information on "Jack" and his line. Sure would like to find a connection back to Scotland!
