Great! I am glad to hear from you with all these info!!!. I wonder where do all those items go after the estate was sold??? Do you have the address and directions to the Piedmont House? I would like to see it if I ever go to Virginia! I would love to see your materials and make copies. I have a cousin who went to England to see Crofton Hall in Cumbria in1986. She made a tape of it and got the auction catalog of the manor. It was sold out of the family in 1908 and the manor house was demolished in 1954. But the lodges, stables and huge magnificent arch gate remain. Other thing, my great grandmother inherited magnificent silver set with a crest. It was in the family for long time. My grandfather said it was from Philip and Chloe Briscoe. Unfortunately they were sold to support the family when my grandfather's father died young. He did not recall what the crest was .I would like to say it was the Briscoe crest.
Looking forward to hear from you.
