I havn't found any Briscoe's in my family tree (as yet), but noticed that you were asking about Ellershaw.

I have some Ellershaws in my family tree. They were born in and around Ireby Yorks. and I think they may have lived in the Bentham/Tatham area before moving to Lancaster.

Is there a connection with Briscoe that I don't know about yet? Any help appreciated.
