BRISCOE - 3 sisters CT to WA 1850's

Hello Briscoe researchers,

I have only just found out that Briscoe
is one of my family names. I'm so
excited - progress has been very slow
on that bit of family.

Anyway, I now have 3 apparent sisters
born in Connecticut (not sure where but
could be Stamford area) in Pacific
county WA in the 1860 census.

My great great grandmother was married -
Catharine Hoyt (nee Briscoe) to Samuel
Hoyt and had my ggm Henrietta Emmaline.

Another sister, Lucy Henrietta was married
to Isaac Alonzo Clark and had at least one
child, John.

The 3rd sister turns up later (1890's) as
Ida G. Soule in Portland, OR (source my
ggm's address book). There is an Ida G.
Briscoe in WA in 1860 census.

There are a few more Briscoes too - Edwin S.
Elizabeth, John, Joseph, Lucy (2 of them?)
and Pacific B.

Is this one big family? Are they your family?
Hope so.

Rosemary in Sydney, Australia
