As far as I can find there is no proof of the parentage for Col/Dr. Philip Briscoe who married Susannah Swann (she is daugher of Edward Swann & Susannah). They Philip & Susannah had a son Dr. Philip Briscoe who married Elizabeth but no proof of her parentage have I found, in fact most of the earlier genealogists said she was not the daughter of George Cole. She seems to be related to Ralph & James Foster & Richard Wainwright. This is from the Briscoe Data Base always open to new Ideas and information contact carolmit@usaor.net.
