I have been able to use Family Tree Maker software to trace my ancestors and descendents forward and back about 25 generations...all the way to Robert of Brisko of Cumberland, England (probably about 1100 AD or earlier.) There were many Brisko's/Briscoe's in Crofton, England. Crofton England was on the north side of Yorkshire County, England I believe. Dr. John Briscoe I did marry Elizabeth DuBois (who was from France). He came to America...left England on Nov. 22, 1633 and arrived in Maryland Mar. 25th, 1634. He came on either the Ark or the Dove. You can obtain lots of excellent information of these two ships on the Internet as well as drawings and an actual historical account by a priest who was on board the ship.
