I have found a book that lists a Margaret Briscoe b. 1855 m 14 Jun 1875 ti William Townsend. She is the daughter of William Briscoe b. 1820 in MO. He married Kitty Taylor born in Chattanooga TN and then he married Peggy Barker 7 Feb 1867 and had a third wife Margaret? b. 1820.

My original information states the Briscoe's came from Virginia. I would love any help.
