My g-grandfather was John "Jack" Newton Briscoe b. March 29, 1841 in Apple Grove, Al., d. April 8, 1933 in Somerville, Al., m. Sallie M. McCarley. Had 8 children: Marion, William, Thomas, James, John, Mattie, Elbert and Ella (twins).
Father of John was William Briscoe, mother was Mattie Bullard. No other info.
Sounds like same family. Would like to share info.
