I believe this is also my line of Briscoes. I descend from William Thomas BRISCOE, (b. 1787 in VA. Believe he came to America with parents from Ireland. Wm. Thomas BRISCOE later settled in Morgan County, AL where he raised his family, and died there. Don't know who his wife was, but they had the following children: Hugh Lawson BRISCOE (my GG-Grandfather)(b. 1/14/1829 in Cotaco Valley, Morgan Co., AL); H.P. BRISCOE (b. 1829); William G. Briscoe,b. 1817; and Martin Van Buren Briscoe, b. 1841. Believe Martin Van Buren Briscoe was a doctor in the Cotaco Valley area.
