Hi! Martin Van Buren Briscoe is my g-g-grandfather. His parents were Thomas Briscoe & Sarah Hill. Martin was married a second time to Louisa Brewer. I don't have any info on a John Burl although the "Burl" part rings a bell. Our Briscoe's have a reunion every year in Ala., for more info on that you can contact Wm. G. Briscoe, 1117 Chesterfield Rd., Huntsville, Al. 35803. I don't know if he is on the net or not. We just got on this month. I think the Cagle's in Morgan Co., Ala are connected to my Rutledge family line.
