Hi my name is Marie and Sir Robert Brisco was my Great great Grandfather who lived at Crofton Hall in Cumbria. You will note Brisco is spelt without the e at the end. I have alot of information about Sir Robert Brisco and I also have a picture of him done in London in 1866.
My great grandfather was Sir Robert's son (wrong side of the sheets) illegitimate to give it the correct title. Sir Robert had a Mistress by the name of Frances Gates or sometimes Wilson (as she was illegitimate also, her fathers name was Wilson and her mothers name was Gates) Miss Gates had 6 children with Sir Robert four boys and two girls. My great grandfather being the eldest and also called Francis. I don't know if any of you are related to Sir Robert, but with his track record you may be. Have lots of other information but I think this is enough for now.
