Penn Briscoe
WALTERS (Staff)
Services for Penn Briscoe, 91, will be at 2:30 pm Wednesday at the Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George McDow officiating. Burial will be in Walters Cemetery. Mr. Briscoe died Sunday at the home of his niece. He was born Jan. 2, 1884 in Kaufman County, .Tex. He was married to Maggie Franklin at Tipton in 1900. His wife preceded him in death on Sept. 2, 1958. Mr. Briscoe was a Cotton County resident for 75 years and was engaged in farming there until he retired. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother, P. D. Briscoe, Corpus Christi, Tex., and several nieces and nephews.
