Hi Ted
I've posted a message before and am still not having any luck connecting my Briscoes, mainly my gg-grandfather Henry Harrison Briscoe.

I have obtained a copy of Michael O'Donnell's article "The Ponsonby / Briscoe Mausoleum in Fiddown". In the mausoleum as well as monuments for the Ponsonbys of Besborough there are a number of Briscoe headstones, as follows (details only summarised):

* Rebecca, daughter of Edwd. Briscoe Esqr. of Garnarea
* Edward Briscoe son of Edward Villiers Briscoe of Willmount
* Eliza Cecilia Briscoe wife of Edward Briscoe and daughter of Robert Briscoe Esq.
* Edward Briscoe of Cloncunny Oct. 1851 aged 96 / Eliza his wife daughter of Daniel Osborne
* Henry Harrison Briscoe Esq of Cloncunny d. 1864 aged 65
* Eliza Thomasina Briscoe wife of Henry Harrison Briscoe
* Edward William Briscoe eldest son of above

It appears that Edward of Cloncunny was Henry Harrison's father. There is a connection with the Ponsonbys and apparently also with the Villiers Briscoe line. I would certainly appreciate any details of connections with other Briscoes.
Regards
Rowan Morrison
