I am a decendant of Hezikiah Briscoe. We have a good deal of information about him including a picture that was recently found. We are presently researching James W. and will have more information on him soon.
William and Sarah McClan were the Uncle and Aunt of Rachael. Her parents were Thomas McClain and her mother was Betsy Gray who were married 17 April 1812 in Shelby Co, KY.
When Rachael died one month before the 1850 Census her two boys evidently ended up with William and Sarah and are captured on the 1850 census. Racheal is captured in the Mortality Death Schedule of the 1850 Census. We are not sure where their father Hezikiah was or what happened to him.
