A long time since you wrote but I would be interested to know where the cemetery you refer to is. I visited Crofton Hall in the 1960's and was told the Governor of Texas had removed the family crest. When I wrote and asked him what he had done with it he never replied.
I would have thought the present Baronet had a prior claim to it as he is the direct descendant of the Briscoes of Crofton Hall.
