Carol, You have Harriet <maybe> listed as the wife of Leroy Briscoe. Harriet is correct. She was Harriet Crumley, dau. of Daniel W. and Stacey Jones Crumley.
She was born in Sullivan Co., TN., ca. 1844.
Leroy and Harriet moved to Gainesville, Cooke Co., Texas around 1878. Their children were: (as listed in 1880 census, Cooke Co., Texas: W. C. male 17 TN; M.V. female 14 TN; Helen R. 7 TN; John 2 TN.
On the 1870 census in Sullivan Co., TN, it looks like the first son is William and the dau is Mary.
This isn't my direct line. I'm researching all of the Crumleys from the Sullivan Co., Tenn. lines (George Kramlich/Gramlich/Crumley)
God bless,
Nancy
