A large Briscoe family, descended from Thomas and Sarah Briscoe, was living in the area south of the Tennessee River in Morgan Co., AL at that time. The eldest son of Thomas was supposedly a John, born about 1813. I have nothing on his line, but most of his brothers were living in that area in the mid-1800's. If you can make a connection to a John living in Morgan Co., AL about the time of your ancestor's birth, I have information on some of the family of Thomas and Sarah Briscoe.
