A private family graveside service will be held for Port Angeles resident Dale Earl Brisbin, who died July 15,2006 at the age of 83.
He was born Jan 1, 1923 in York, Neb. to Glen Rankin Brisbin and Minnie May (Tucker)Brisbin.
He graduated form high school in 1941.
He married Willa Mae Owenby in Troutsdale, Ore. in 1959.
She preceded him in death in the mid 1980s.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, inlisting in Jan 1942. He was hounorably discharged Nov. 1945 as a seaman first class. He served abord the USS Pathfinder and also on board the distroyer USS Colhoun when it was sunk in battle off Formosa.
He worked at C.Z.Paper Mill in Port Angeles and in Camas Washington
He enjoyed hunting, fishing,camping and bowling.
He was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of W.P.P.W..
Mr. Brisbin is survived by his brther and sister-in-law, Harold E. and Jewell Brisbin, and two nephews.
